FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
Answers to the questions people usually have before booking a mobile blood draw or specialty testing appointment.
What is A-List Mobile Labs?
A-List Mobile Labs is a mobile phlebotomy service. We bring professional, certified blood collection directly to your home, office, or another convenient location in the Raleigh area.
What areas do you serve?
We serve Raleigh, Cary, Apex, Garner, Morrisville, Wake Forest, Fuquay-Varina, Durham, and the surrounding areas. Not sure if you're in range? Contact us before booking.
How does mobile blood draw service work?
You book online, choose a service, and a certified phlebotomist arrives at your location during your scheduled window to collect your specimens.
Do I need a lab order?
For a standard Mobile Blood Draw, yes — you should already have a laboratory order from your physician or provider before booking.
Can you draw for Labcorp or Quest orders?
In many cases, yes. Bring your order to your appointment and we'll collect and route your specimens accordingly. Laboratory compatibility can vary, so contact us first if you'd like to confirm.
How much is a standard mobile blood draw?
$85. This covers the mobile collection/service fee — laboratory testing charges may be separate.
What is the $125 Specialty Testing service for?
It's for patients who already have a specialty laboratory kit or a specialized collection that requires mobile specimen collection. Please have your kit ready before booking.
Do you provide the actual lab testing, or only the blood collection?
We provide the mobile specimen collection only. The laboratory associated with your order or kit performs the actual testing — A-List does not perform or interpret lab results.
Where are specimens taken after collection?
Specimens are handled and transported according to the requirements of your specific laboratory order or specialty kit.
Can I use insurance?
The mobile collection fee is self-pay, paid directly to A-List Mobile Labs. Your laboratory or provider may bill insurance separately for the testing itself.
How do I pay?
Booking and payment are handled securely through Square at the time you schedule your appointment.
What happens after I book?
You'll receive a confirmation with your appointment details. A certified phlebotomist will arrive at your location during your scheduled window to complete the collection.
How should I prepare for my appointment?
Have your lab order or specialty kit ready, along with a photo ID and any kit instructions. Clothing that allows easy access to your arm helps things go smoothly.
Do I need to fast?
Only if your provider or lab instructions say so. Fasting isn't required for every draw — check your lab order or kit instructions, and follow any fasting requirements they specify before your appointment.
What if I need to cancel or reschedule?
You can cancel or reschedule using the confirmation details you receive after booking, or by contacting us directly.
Can more than one person be drawn during the same visit?
Often, yes. Contact us before booking if you'd like to schedule multiple patients at the same address.
What if I have a specialty test kit?
Choose the Specialty Testing service when booking, and we'll follow the collection requirements provided with your kit.
